Thank you Nigel Main for identifying this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere ~13.5mm long. We saw these occasionally flying around us one day. I thought they were beetles. Marie caught this one in her hands and we realised it was an ant. Nigel said it's the largest species of Pheidole in Australia. | |||||
