Thank you Bernhard Jacobi for identifying and Dr John Ascher & Asaph (Asaph01) for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere ~3mm, found in Dryland Tea-tree (Melaleuca lanceolata) flower, with many others. To the naked eye they look like little bits of fluffy blowing in the breeze. The brackets indicate a sub-genus level id. Bernhard said "near trisulca", meaning it looks very similar to Xanthesma (Xanthesma) trisulca, but not an exact match. Similar Species: Yellow Dryland Bee (Callohesma sp) | |||||
