General Species Information:
Found in the Riverland and possibly elsewhere
~18mm long.
This & the following 2 Apiocera are very similar to each other. The proboscis (tongue) length is diagnostic, as are markings & body shape.
Notice this one is also covered in dirt making it appear browner than it actually is.
