Thank you Fubberpish for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found in the Murray Mallee SA, Adelaide Hills, Coastal Areas and possibly elsewhere More formal looking than the splendid; like wearing a grey suit with a black & sky blue scarf and cap. Non-breeding males, juvenile males and females can be hard to differentiate. Adult Males have black beaks, females have orange/red beaks. Kristen Messenger said "males have black eyelashes while females have chestnut". | |||||
