General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere
A huge beetle, the biggest we've ever seen. Unfortunately the only specimen we've been able to photograph was dead and missing it's head, as shown here. The remnants were 50mm long. The head isn't very long, but they are reported to be 60-80mm long.
This specimen was found on 20 Jan 2016.
