We thought these were Amorbus rhombifer, when (BradLP10) asked the question of how to differentiate the nymphs. We indicated that the antennae segment count & colour bands were diagnostic. We then asked Danilo if he was able to help. He indicated "Amorbus rhombifer has never been documented from SA. I consider such nymphs to be light-coloured variants of A. rubiginosus. Steinbauer's comprehensive work (1995) contains distribution maps for all species and lists no known records of A. rhombifer and its synonyms from SA, nor are there any reports in ALA."
