General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere ~9mm long. Found dead in the carport. The eyes are wide apart, indicating this is a female. Others in the genus have shorter, paddle-like antennae. Other on-line photos show some white stripes on the body, but they are all males. These flies have incredibly powerful hind legs.
