Thank you Tony and Jenny Dominelli for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere ~13-14mm. While difficult to see (needing a still specimen & a good camera or microscope) these large tachinids can be differentiate from large blowflies by the fact they have smooth arista. Blowflies generally have plumose arista. | |||||
