| Species: | Zebra Stiletto Fly (Agapophytus labifenestellus)| This Photo: | 🔍S1, profile🔎 | Thank you Dr Shaun Winterton for identifying and Dr Chris Lambkin for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere ~10mm long, caught at the same time/location as our 9th Agapophytus aterrimus specimen. Agapophytus sp due to the scale like hairs on it's thorax, matching antennae ratio & size plus wing venation to our Agapophytus aterrimus. A VERY good Small Zebra Spider Wasp (Ctenostegus sp) mimic! Shaun said "A really great find, and great photos. Thanks. One of my favourite species in that genus. The scales on the body combined with small window in the otherwise dark wing are characteristic."
