Thank you Dr Michael Kearney for identifying this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), Coastal Areas and elsewhere ~25mm long. The number of segments on the antennae are diagnostic for this family. Michael said "The other options would be Prorifera (which has more segments in the antennae) or Keyacris, but the species of the latter you get in that area would most likely be a more stocky species this." In relation to S2, Michael said "This would be the western viatica 17 race". It seems there are many races within this species, which are quite location dependant. | |||||
