Species: | Montane Katydid (Tinzeda minor)This Photo: | 🔍S1, Female, iso-view🔎 | Thank you Matthew Connors for identifying this species for us General Species Information: Found in the Adelaide Hills and possibly elsewhere 1st Live Photo on-line 1st on Atlas 1st on iNaturalist: Sorry for the old terrible photo's. These are the only 3 we have, requested by Matthew Connors as it's the first on-line record of this species. We didn't catch inverts back then, so no idea of size. You can just see her red-tipped ovipositor jutting out by the side of her wings. David Rentz said in his book 'A Guide to the Katydids of Australia'; "Not a small species, but has 'minor' colouration compared to others. The ventral margin of the pronotum bears only a narrow white margin. The tegmen has a single white stripe along the leading edge but lacks the 2nd stripe present on several other species".
