Thank you Matt Campbell for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere We have no cotton in SA, but this species is still found. It's caterpillars feed on Malvaceae. Limestone Sida & Clustered Lawrencia are the only Malvaceae plants we've found on Ellura so far. As is our general stance on common names, it's wrong to call something by the introduced plant it eats when it was surviving happily before European invasion. | |||||
