General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere
~20mm natural wingspan; by this we mean the way it naturally sits. Most of our wingspans are measured, based on the wing length and body widith - as if the wings were fully stretched out.
These should follow A. pachygramma by males having bipectinate antennae & females having filiform.
This is listed on Bold as Taxeotis sp ANIC1. However, Ethan Beaver believes this is an error and they belong under the genus Aglossophanes. When compared with our Streaked Heath Moth (Aglossophanes pachygramma) you can certainly see why.
