| Species: | Hairy Antlion (Heoclisis fundata)| This Photo: | S2, Male, Antennae | Thank you Ken Harris for identifying and Vladislav Grigorenko (Grigorenko) for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere Females ~36mm to ~38mm long; Males ~33mm to ~42mm long, ~90mm wingspan. These are very variable in colour (in both body & wing patches). The stripe pattern on the pronotum is consistent, as is the striped antennae & yellow mouth parts. Males have 2 long anal appendages that female don't.
