I don't know what it is, but insects with clear wings and black patterned edges just enthral me Marie saw this "moth" on the kitchen fly-screen. As soon as I saw it, straight into the insect box into the fridge. Didn't want to miss any important details. Thought it'd be easy to id; never having seen one, and being so unique. After much hunting around I found this pictorial key. The only issue was the location component shows only the eastern seaboard.
This is the 1st record for this species in South Australia on the ALA website (www.ala.org.au).
