Thank you Tony and Jenny Dominelli for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere See the other Zebra Spider Wasp (Pompilinae sp) for a discussion of variations in this sub-family. This specimen was about 15mm long (body & head), wingspan ~26mm. Note the much thicker body stripes, which meet on the side of the abdomen. The black head band between the eye is also much stronger & sharper. Also note the 3 sub-marginal cells on the wing venation.
