| Species: | Clear Green Moss (Rosulabryum torquescens)| This Photo: | S4, Old Sporangia | Synonym: | Ptychostomum torquescens | Thank you János Vörösbaranyi (VbJanos) for identifying this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills and elsewhere We thought this was Rosulabryum billardierei, but János Vörösbaranyi said "The hair point is too long and the dry leaves are not twisted. S3, S4 & S5 are most likely R. torquescens: red costa (central nerve of the leaf) on leaf close up photo's; capsule has red mouth photos 5 and 6." He later added "The dry capsules have abruptly apiculate exostome teeth. The red colouring on the leaves is another confirming sign." A spore capsule is called a "Sporangium", plural is "Sporangia"
