Thank you Mark Newton for identifying this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere Very unusual palps on the male of this spider. They are all unique, but this one has some external projections on them. We were also lucky enough to catch the spiral shape inside the cup as well. While a red & black spider, you can see the abdomen has a strong navy blue sheen that is visible in sunshine to the naked eye. | |||||
