| Species: | Similar Crab Spider (Cymbacha similis)| This Photo: | 🔍S1, Female, dorsal🔎 | Thank you Nate Venarske (NateV) for identifying this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere 1st Record in SA on Atlas: ~6mm long female. Found by Matthew Connors on his recent trip to Ellura. This species seems to have 5 main punctuations on it's abdomen, in a bit of an arrow shape, with the single one in the middle at the front. Colour is quite variable with this one being particularly dark. Nate said "Cymbacha saucia has a very distinct sternum with a large oval hole in it. The epigynum of your specimen is most consistent with C. similis, though it is not a perfect match. The habitus is a fairly good match for Koch's drawing"
