General Species Information: Found in the Murray Mallee SA and possibly elsewhere It's very sad, but the Pacific Black Duck is becoming extinct. The extinction process is via hybridisation with the introduced Mallard Duck. The Mallard is a more aggressive species, and so mates more readily than the native. | |||||
