General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere
~9mm long. 4 segmented antennae, with wings are shorter than the body.
Note the large spur, along with other smaller spines, under each front femur (thigh).
Both S1 & S2 lost the end of one of their legs before we caught them.
The thick front legs and femur spurs indicate these are predatory bugs (ie hunt other inverts, rather than feeding on seeds). The name "Seed Bug" referes to the bug family to which this species belongs.
