General Species Information:
Found in the Riverland and possibly elsewhere
Generally, for Villini, it seems the eyes are much closer together at the top for males compared with females; making it possible to separate the genders from a good dorsal head shot. This occurs with other fly families, but not all.

This species is

Australian Native Species, not listed in the SA Murray Mallee Survey of 2010.
