Thank you Tony and Jenny Dominelli for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere Females we found were ~24mm long; males ~16mm long. These have a white face compared to M. australis. Males are smaller, look very colourful and usually short-winged. Females are always fully winged, which hide their colours more. Both have lime-green bellies, as well as greenish stripes on the rear thighs, and red on the rear tibias. Notice the white tips on the antennae, as well as on the palps. | |||||
