General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere
Females we found were ~24mm long; males ~16mm long.
These have a white face compared to M. australis.
Males are smaller, look very colourful and usually short-winged. Females are always fully winged, which hide their colours more. Both have lime-green bellies, as well as greenish stripes on the rear thighs, and red on the rear tibias.
Notice the white tips on the antennae, as well as on the palps.
