A white flower that has 5 petals which are deeply lobed and can look like 10 petals. On Ellura it is more prostrate than in the Adelaide Hills. When comparing to Stellaria (which is also called chickweed) Ralp Foster said "Cerastium has clustered flower heads rather than single axillar flowers." Further, when separating Stellaria media from Stellaria flaccida, iNat user (Idl1) said "Common Chickweed (Stellaria media) has a single line of hairs down one side of the stem and white-petalled flowers ... white-petaled flowers with a hairy calyx, leaf shape and general form all point to S. media. There area a few huge specimens of this species on iNat. By contrast, Stellaria flaccida is much less robust ... and has very different flowers."
