Thank you Alan Dandie (Alan_Dandie) for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Flinders Ranges, the Riverland and elsewhere This is a tall thin annual. The stem, which is finely hairy, starts off being green and turns red with age. Has the typical small yellow flower and large involucre (back of flower) of senecios, that then throws large seed balls. Leaves are stalked down the middle, dark green, heavily toothed (pointy edged) and sometimes deeply lobed (edges where a small leaflet grows from the main one). | |||||
