EXTRA - Photo Specific Information: Thanks to Daniel Heald for spotting our error & Jan Anderson for identifying this egg for us; we had it down as a lacewing egg (which are much smaller, more oblong and found in batches). We don't know which 2-Tailed Spider species it belongs to. General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere The 6 specimens we have found range from just over 4mm to 6mm. Originally suspecting they were different species, due to the strength of patterns, the patterns still match. We suspect they are now various stages of growth from the smallest being younger, to the largest being older. Interestingly all are female, no males found yet. | |||||
