Thank you Dr Francesco Martoni for identifying this species for us EXTRA - Photo Specific Information: Larger wings and antenna. Notice one wing has a "deformity". Well so we thought. We now realise it's either a cast off skin or it's another instar hiding on it. Either way, the important issue is the huge growth from younger to older! General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills and elsewhere We thought this was Hyalinaspis sp. There is a bit of confusion with the naming of these. The Lerp is the housing. The bug inside is a Psylloid that produces the lerp; the bug isn't a lerp. | |||||
