Thank you Alan Dandie (Alan_Dandie) & János Vörösbaranyi (VbJanos) for identifying and Andrew Thornhill for confirming the id of this species for us

General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills and elsewhere
With mosses it can be difficult to separate the different species in a photo. Here there are a number shown together with G. pulvinata. To clarify, Alan said "Capsules inverted amongst the leaves". János Vörösbaranyi said (of the Sporangia photo) "The green moss with long, hyaline (silvery), hairpoint and round hanging capsules (capsules on short, reflexed setae) is G. pulvinata. The moss with yellow and red leaves and short point is something else (probably Dydimodon sp). "
